KARISHMA AKBARI IS AN ARTICLING STUDENT AT MILES DAVISON LLP INTERESTED IN FAMILY LAW AND CIVIL LITIGATION.
She has practiced her oral advocacy skills extensively throughout the years, first with the Debate Society in her undergraduate program and then mooting in law school.

During her time at the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Law, Karishma was actively involved as a caseworker with Student Legal Assistance, where she provided information and representation to low-income Calgarians. Karishma was able to gain valuable hands-on experience appearing in the Court of Justice, drafting legal materials and filing applications.

Outside of work, Karishma loves spending time with her family, cooking, hiking and exploring our mountainous backyard.
